This is a beautiful boxed solid brass desk top compass inlaid into a wooden box with pivot brass hinges and black felt inlaid into the top and also on the underside of the box, to prevent scratching. The Mahogany case measures 3½" x 3½" x 1" and the compass measures 2¼" in diameter. This is a beautiful piece that the picture does not serve justice to and would make a perfect nautical theme gift.
