Photos of a Harpoon & Crows Nest Rope Rigging Ladder from Seaside Treasures now on display in our Capt’n Quarters. In the left Photo....1107;  my husband purchased brass rings and screws at Sears Hardware and attached them to the rigging via sisal twine we already had.    He got out his US Coast Guard Basic Seamanship Training Manual to tie authentic nautical knots and 'whipping' to secure the brass rings.  My husband fabricated the remainder of the 'display', including the Crow's Nest, from scrap wood & paneling.  The mast was cut from a cardboard tube and painted.

Here are a couple of pictures that Candy sent, using our Raffia skirt as valance for a window treatment.

"I hot glued the skirt on a tension rod and then added the flowers, it turned out really cute!"

Thank You

Just about the entire house is done in a nautical theme.  Everything from the kitchen to the hallway.  Slowly but surely we are getting all the home decor the way we want it with help from your website and lucky finds on our own here in Maine.

The port hole is the prize of the sleeping loft -- every kid reacts with a "no way!" or something to that effect.  It draws them to that end of the loft, and then they discover the hatch to the deck (then they climb on the roof).

"Back to work for me" !

(Quote from Richard).
