Mini Aqua Desk Prism.

A beautiful mini desk top reproduction of a deck prism from a sailing era gone by. Originally a deck prism would have been used to give light to the lower decks on wooden sailing vessels before electricity was available and where oil lamps were not safe to use in the 19th Century. Large colored glass prisms would be inserted into the upper decks point down. The light would shine on the flat surface facing up and it would  then transfer to the six sided prism, providing light to the lower deck. This prism measures 2¾"  x  2¾" , and comes in a canvas drawstring gift bag. Use this to enhance the Nautical decor anywhere in your home, cabin or even a paper weight in the office.
